The National Legislative Seminar (NLS) is a dynamic, once-each-biennium experience held in Washington, D.C. Over four days, participants engage in interactive workshops, meaningful discussions, educational field experiences, and visits with their Congressional representatives on Capitol Hill — bringing the voice of educators directly into the national conversation.

The 2026 NLS was held March 8–11, bringing together 61 participants representing 22 states. Among those in attendance was Dr. Lienne Hill, Georgia’s DKG U.S. Forum Liaison, who also captured the spirit and impact of the seminar by producing a video highlighting the experience and created three Capitol to Classroom reports during the event that were shared with GSO members.

DKG Day at the Capitol
|
DKG Day at the Capitol is an advocacy event, focused on legislative action and education policy at the state level. During the event, members engage with legislators, learn about the legislative process, and lobby for key issues like those affecting women, children, and education in Georgia. The day is structured around professional growth, advocacy, and fellowship. |
