Business, yes, but fellowship, fun, and food, too
The Georgia State Organization Members' Meeting & Executive Board meets to conduct the business of the state and provide training for chapter-level leaders. But this meeting is much more than that. The event provides an opportunity for members across the state to have fellowship and fun together. Close friendships develop and networking occurs. And a delicious meal is always served. A perfect balance of business and pleasure ...
The Fall Members' Meeting & Executive Board is set for the fourth Saturday in September each year.
The Spring Members' Meeting & Executive Board is scheduled by the GSO President.

Fall Executive Board and Membership Meeting
September 25, 2021
GSO held its very first hybrid Executive Board and Membership Meeting as we celebrated 85 years of DKG in Georgia!
The day was kicked off with installation of 2021-2023 officers, new Elise Boylston Memorial Foundation trustees, and Nominating Committee members. Beta Eta chapter received a plaque for earning the ACE award, and pins were presented to all Beta Eta members for achieving this distinction. Past state presidents coordinated the 85th birthday celebration with a display of artifacts from the past, copies of a poem about founders by Dr. Gloria Harrison-Bienstock, a choral reading written and directed by Virginia M. McChesney, a video featuring current DKG International president Becky Sadowski |
and several past state presidents, and cupcakes with a rose motif served for dessert at lunch.
Opportunities for shopping were provided throughout the day. All of the 60 gift baskets available for sale were purchased, with proceeds going to the State Convention budget. Bags of delicious, freshly made kettle corn and various and sundry "yard sale" items from office storage provided additional shopping options. All of the monies from these sales benefited the Leadership Fund, used for assisting with the costs of providing leadership seminars for members. The slideshow below provides a glimpse into the activities of the day. |

Executive Board at 2021 Virtual GSO Convention
April 17, 2021
Consideration for the health and safety of members was the motivating factor for moving the planned face-to-face 2021 GSO Convention to a virtual event. Members celebrated the "Power of Sisterhood" with chapter and member recognitions and the election of new officers, Nominations Committee, and two trustees of the Elise Boylston Memorial Foundation. Proposed amendments to the current GSO Bylaws, a proposed updated GSO Standing Rules, and a proposed GSO manual were adopted. Find these documents on the Governing Documents page.
