President's Message

GSO President 2019-2021
Welcome, Georgia State Organization Members, to the 2019-2021 Biennium!!!
I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to the Immediate Past State President and Friend, Virginia McChesney, for helping the GSO make a smooth transition. It is so nice to be surrounded by a team of amazing DKG sisters, who are working hard to continue the excellent work of the Georgia State Organization.
As I expressed at the State Convention in April, we each come together, sisters from all corners of Georgia, bringing with us our experiences, our successes AND our failures, and most of all, our love and dedication to DKG in Georgia. And we can make a difference from whatever seat we sit in…whether it is from the back of the room or from the head table.
The Power of Sisterhood means different things to each of us, and we will explore that throughout the many opportunities we have to work together these next couple years.
There is power in the fellowship that is found when a group of us comes together.
There is a power in the voices of our leaders who stand before us.
There is power as we unite as women educators in a genuine spiritual fellowship.
And there is POWER in our Sisterhood!!!
It is the Power of Sisterhood that will keep us growing as a Georgia State Organization.
We have a place in the Global Society, and it is time to celebrate our place in the World, Region, State, Chapter and our Communities.
And, it starts today!
When you are asked to help, please know that you are cherished, and you are needed.
Your talents are needed.
Your time is needed.
Your dedication is needed.
So, let’s band together to do AMAZING things, GSO Sisters! And let us continue to be Forward Moving EVER!!!
